We have one goal in hiring at Storia...we hire for Character and not Skill. Yes, skill is great, and a plus, but nothing we do is rocket science (pun intended, since we are the Rocket City!) and we can train you for any position. We are looking for people who genuinely love people, both front and back of the house, it is what makes our team different than almost any other team out there! It is why we have won so many awards in the past! Our goal is to find the best position for your skill set. That is why we call our team the Dream Team, because we want you to help lead in the areas where you are gifted...remember this is NOT a job, it's a passion!
Shifts @ Storia....
While these don't have to be exact times, these are general shifts available at Storia. The more that you are available, the more opportunities for hours there will be. If you select one of these times, it does not mean that you have to work that entire time, these are just general shift times.
Part Time Shifts (4-6 hour shifts)

The Sears family is unapologetic about our Christian faith and we operate our business with Christian principles. We work hard. We love people from all backgrounds! No, you do not have to be a person of faith to work here, but it is expected that you are able to fulfill the above standards that are foundational to our business. We are closed on Sundays so that you can worship or connect with your family. We are also closed on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We have THE BEST deli, cafe and market in the Southeast....However, everything we do is about people! If you don't love people, this is not the right fit for you. The old saying goes, that if you look out for all of the people around you, you never have to look out for yourself. That means that we slow down to invest in relationships, both our fellow team members and our customers. Names matter, and all of our of Dream Team are required to wear name tags. We put people BEFORE profits! We treat people so well and are rarely understaffed, because people love coming to work! Even during COVID, when most businesses around the country were cutting services and hours, our business was fully staffed! Details matter! We are a business that pursues excellence and works to delivery MORE than is expected. We take food safety VERY seriously! Everyone on our team will be trained at the highest levels in food safety. We deliver FRESH food EVERY day! We only serve the BEST quality food and drinks. If it is not right, we remake it. We take cleanliness VERY seriously! No one wants to work in a dirty environment. The dust in the corner...it matters, the ceiling light out...it matters, the smudges on the glass...it matters. We want to create an environment of excellence everyday! Our standards are very high, and our training is second to none!
We choose joy....
At Storia we say choices lead...feelings follow. Joy is a choice. We all have stuff we are dealing with in life...some of it is very hard. We understand and we care! At the same time, we are in the people business and we want to create an environment of joy in everything that we do. That means smiling matters! That means attitude matters! That means that we wake up every day choosing joy and gratitude. All of us have something to be grateful for....all of us! If you stop for one minute and think of three things that you are grateful for...your perspective changes. You can't be anxious and grateful. You can't be sad and grateful. Choose joy, choose gratitude....it should be an outflow of who we are and the choices we make.
A note to prospective Dream Team Members...
It is a privilege to work at Storia! If you want to join our amazing team, here are things that you need to consider. If you don't love people, we are not the right fit for you. We are a professional work environment, if you show up for an interview in a hoodie, don't expect us to take you seriously. If you are late to your interview, don't expect us to take you seriously. Because we are a food environment we require a neat, clean and professional appearance. We require natural occurring shades of hair color, no excessive piercings, no facial or neck tattoos and no long fingernails. Most of our positions require a hat, which will be provided for you. We expect our Dream Team Members to be in uniform and at work ready to clock in before their shift begins. Uniforms must be clean and you should have a clean appearance. We will make it easy for you to request time off. Once the schedule is posted, it is your responsibility to work the shift or get another qualified Dream Team Member to cover your shift. Yes, there are occasional exceptions and we will work with you as much as possible. Work hard, have a great attitude, show up on time for your schedule, and this will be the best job you will ever have!
A note to parents...
Jen and I are the parents to six kids, four adopted and two biological. We know how hard it is to send your kids out for their first job. We know those anxious feelings. We want you to know that at Storia, we provide a safe and fun place for your teenager to work. We work in a team environment and they will be around other positive people to help them. We understand what that first day of work feels like and we will make them feel welcome and train them well. We will ensure the highest level of safety for your teens. We provide an environment that will prepare them for whatever is next in their lives. This is not a job, we provide them with an environment that will help them understand work ethic, respect, timeliness, people skills, and excellence. These skills will help them in every area of their lives for their future.
A note to retirees and stay at home parents...
Retirees are some of our best team members! If you are retired and looking for a day or two a week or just a few hours several days of the week, come join our team! We have an amazing environment for you and will work with your schedule. We have a no-drama, a low stress environment and value your skills, knowledge and influence. Come join our Dream Team!
Stay at home parents...We get you! Jen has been a homeschool parent for over a decade and stayed at home with our kids and teens. And sometimes, getting out a day or two, in the evenings or weekend is just what the doctor ordered! We have had numerous stay at home parents that have worked for us and told us..."We don't come here of the paycheck, we come here to socialize and get out of the house a couple days a week. It truly brings us joy and gives us energy for the rest of the week." Come join our Dream Team!
